Laura... Honey, I love you, but this behavior is not okay. Brace yourself, because I am about to guilt you into not doing this to yourself anymore. You have been warned.
I submit that it is actually a sin on two counts for you to behave this way.
1) The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. You, through your own actions, have made yourself ill. You are a steward of God's creation, and I should think that you wanted to be more responsible about it than that. Yes, that really is one of your duties.
2) Your behavior shows a marked lack of faith in God. Consider the lilies of the field, etc. They toil not nor do they something something. They way you are acting, anyone would think that your life, should you fail this exam, will be plunged into an abyss of meaningless wandering, and that you will be as some soul in tedious limbo for all the rest of eternity. Barring any interesting and illicit deals you may have been making with spirits of questionable character, this is not the case. Have you so little faith in God that you think that He will not shower you with His love-- yes, even if you fail the exam? There is no 'Thou shalt pass thy philosophy exam' commandment. Let me guess, that doesn't sound immediately comforting? And yet, in the end, nothing else actually matters. Stop pinning your whatchamacallit on earthly things.
There. Take these words as they're intended: in jest, with the old 'many a true word' proviso.
Oh, and Laura's friends who are actually in physical contact with her: please stop the dear child from harming herself. Strap her down and read romance novels to her till she relaxes, if necessary. Really. Please.
