Bridge, thank you for your assistance in repairing Sniper's mechanical sphere. I still haven't managed to fix the programming bug; apparently, it is only capable of repeating "lock on" at the moment. I may have to wipe its memory completely and program a new OS from scratch ( Read more... )

It could be attempting to lock on to a target, but doesn't it seem likely that it might be repeating his name? Perhaps he's needed to activate it properly.
