I might have to grab this meme, it's a really good one.
I feel like I always have to be careful about what I say about Martha, because I don't care that much for her as a companion (there's a reason why I don't own series 3 on DVD yet) - yet everyone would be quick to dub me a Martha basher. I think Martha had some great moments, but RTD really messed up the character.
This meme was super-fun to do, I love whoever started it.
My view on Martha is that I never understood why it wasn't acceptable to dislike her. Lots of people dislike characters I like and I don't run around accusing them of character-bashing, I just dismiss it as the fact that everyone likes different things. I tried really hard with Martha and just had to admit, finally, that I just couldn't stand her, and I've decided I'm okay with that, it's just how I feel.
I wanted to like Martha, really I did, but it comes down to the fact that while it was acceptable to have a crush on the Doctor, once she understands how badly he's hurting she ought to have backed off. A smart woman would have seen that. The character didn't behave as smart as she was supposed to be.
I almost think RTD was pissed to lose Rose and screwed up on purpose.
I feel like it's this weird Schrodinger's box of a show, everything exists and doesn't exist all at once, because they throw enough bones to feed all ships without ever confirming anything.
Yes! That is an excellent way of putting it.
You know, the guy who shouted "BEYOND THE GRAVE."
Oh my god, I'd completely forgotten how much I loved him. What a completely, wonderfully hammy bad guy.
the fact that I love how the buttons on his shirts are always straining to break free, it's almost my favorite thing about Sherlock.
This made me laugh out loud for about five minutes, because I know exactly what you mean.
He's the incompetent CSI-type person at Scotland Yard who's sleeping with Donovan (as established in ASiP). I actually meant to put Donovan down for that answer, but Anderson works, too.
This was a tough meme, but it was fun to sit and legitimately try to figure out about all these impossible questions.
And I love how Sherlockfic is this vast, sprawling universe of all-over-the-place fics, and every single one of them could work in canon. HOW DO THEY MANAGE TO LEAVE ENOUGH GAPS FOR THAT TO HAPPEN? It is one of the most amazing things about the show, to me.

I'm so impressed at how they manage to pull this off.
