vacation
i managed to find a computer in a british food market located in the middle of the historic district of the town. i am a bit sorry that i was bitter about being made to come along because once here i was able to enjoy myself (a little). for the last two nights we have been staying in the navy lodge over on a more desolate stretch of the island. the whole place looks shittier than what i remembered but i cant say that my memories of it are accurate as i was three years old the last time i visited. one of the few things that i remembered was this aquarium/touch tank that i just now saw; this is possibly the most frightening aquarium in the world. there is a large pool in the middle of a giant room filled with sharks that skim their noses along the edge of the pool looking for food. if i had actually left my mother's arms the last time we were here i believe that i would have shit my pants every day for the next nine years.
one of the brochures that the soldiers gave us at the gate was entitled "the gay trek around key west". apparently this is the equivalent of provincetown in the north; there are gay bars and "gay-only" hotels everywhere. meh im running out of time, but who cares no one reads this anyway.
right now im skipping out on the convention dinner down at the pier...theres no one to talk to. im considering buying a stuffed aligator. bye
