Tomorrow is my birthday. Today I got my way cool present - a pale green Toyota Prius. I'm so excited. After two years of looking we finally settled on a vehicle. I test drove it Thursday. They let me take it to work and keep it overnight. I was surprised how much I liked it. I thought I wouldn't be able to see out very well, but I could. I also didn't feel like I was sitting on the road. We drove it to the bowling outing that the Staff Association had. I enjoyed the bowling. It was fun to spend time with folks from work. I had 113 my first game and 141 my second. The only downside was that the place was smoky. I took a shower when I got home to get rid of the smell.
In the morning we went to the SC Native Plant Society sale. We got an ash tree and several shrubs. We picked up bales of pine needles from Lowes. Now we need to dig up an area in the front yard and plant the stuff we purchased. We also need to put out pine needles. Hopefully, some of that activity will happen tomorrow when I get back from church and meeting with friends. Eldred will be home all day so he might be inspired to do some without me. :-)
We cleaned out some of the stuff in the garage in an effort to make room for the Prius. It will now fit but we can't open the door enough to get out. So, more cleaning will need to happen. I'll get to that soon too.
