I am still researching steampunk. I joined several LJ communities and am enjoying looking at the costumes and gadgets. I really hope the people in Atlanta are able to get together the gathering for the fall in Helen. That would be really cool.
I found a nice article in the NY Times:
Steampunk Moves Between Two Worlds. I can *so* seeing Eldred and I doing this if we can manage to motivate ourselves to make stuff.
In other news I am reading my first manga, finally. Someone left it on the reshelve cart beside the reference desk. I took it as a sign and decided to read it. It's cute so far.
The trip home from work yesterday was without delays, so I don't know which roads ended up blocked. I went to the downtown Atlanta Bread for lunch and had a so-so panini and worse service. It costs $0.50 more downtown and it never as good as the one at Cherrydale. I need to write a note to the manager at Cherrydale to compliment the staff.
Book I'm listening to:
The PMS Outlaws by Sharyn McCrumb
Books I'm reading:
Journey to Yesterday by June Lund Shiplett;
Anime Explosion! The What? Why? & Wow! of Japanese Animation by Patrick Drazen;
Vampire Kisses: Blood Relatives by Ellen Schreiber
