Rebecca

I finished Rebecca last night. Not as scary or romantic as I had expected considering I have it listed as the modern Gothic romance prototype. I started the 1940 movie this morning before heading to work. I'll finish it this evening. Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine are the leads. I also noticed Nigel Bruce and Leo G. Carroll in the credits. It's directed by Alfred Hitchcock, so it should be atmospheric at least.

The library is oddly quiet today. Sunday is usually very busy because none of the branches are open. Maybe the cooler weather has people at home doing other things.

It poured rain just before I was to leave for work. Fortunately, it let up some before I left. By the time I arrived at work it was just drizzle. We need to rain, so this is a very good thing. It is also much cooler today than it has been, which is also a good thing.
