Ocean

I spent the last week pondering what I would do when my birthday rolls by. I was thinking I could do for a pet. After researching cats and dogs, it seems cats are cheaper for the duration of their lives compared to the smallest dogs. I like dogs; though, I have one problem with them, maybe just my neighbors who let their dogs relieve themselves on my yard.

The internet has tons of information on aquarium start up and maintenance. I thought I had a good grasp over what was needed in starting up a freshwater tropical aquarium. I went to the local fish shops: Super Wal-Mart, PetSmart, Petco, and Wet Pets missing out on Crystal Clear Aquatics due to time. These stores gave me a good impression on what the local fish trade is like. PetSmart was not bad compared to the other corporate chain stores. Wet Pets was the best when it came to the two hours I spent at the store asking every question I could think of. I will purchase my plants and fish at Wet Pets because they look like they are actually taking care of their aquariums. I will purchase my equipment from the bigger company stores because I can save half my costs if I buy my items separately compared to going with the retail prices of Wet Pets.

Logan #1-3 (Marvel Comics, ‘08)
This was an entertaining miniseries about events from the past. I would have liked to have seen this as a one-shot slimming done the page count. I enjoyed the art especially the flashback scenes. Also, like the black and white variants of this story are just as good as the colored versions. I would purchase this as a discounted collected set. Rating 7.6/10

Final Crisis #1-7 (DC Comics, ’08-‘09)
When you look at a painting and notice too many things going on you think to yourself this is way to busy. When I read this miniseries, busy was the least of my worries. I had to read a plot synopsis online to get a more in-depth understanding because I was completely lost after issue six. The art was fine though I still don’t like having so many heroes assembled on one page. I purchased this miniseries when it initially came out and I wish I would have months later when they would have been cheaper. Rating 7.3/10

X-Men: Magneto Testament #1-5 (Marvel Comics, ’08-‘09)
When most people read comic book stories they usually go for the character that interests them. In this miniseries the story outweighs the character. This Holocaust story incorporates real life events and comic book character’s background making a very compelling story. I am okay with art. I would purchase the hardcover version of this comic book. Rating 8.4/10

Reign in Hell #1-8 (DC Comics, ’08-‘09)
The story was a not so smooth transition between rulers. The mystic characters joining the fray are affected in one way or another. The dialogue was hard to read which was off putting. The backstory was good just by Rose’s decision. The art was grainy which suited the overall background of Purgatory and Hell. I should have waited for this series to be collected as a set because I would have been able to save money. Rating 7.4/10
