Review: The Sinestro Corps War (DC Comics, ’07-08)

I was unable to read the Blue Beetle #20 tie-in because I do not own the issue.  I have Green Lantern on my pull list, but I rarely get the chance to read individual issues, whenever they come out.  Later on, Sterling Gates wrote a two part story Green Lantern Corps.  This is why I only have a few Green Lantern Corps books, though I have heard it is a very good series.  I hope Sterling the best, he makes everyone from Norman, Oklahoma proud.  Reading the event in this given order automatically gave me the impression that it might be best to buy this in trade format.

The Sinestro Corps War showed that it does not take just superheroes to make a difference.  There was a part where I thought that Coastal City would never be inhabitable again, just wait and see what happens to the residence there.  I could do without the JLA showing up.  I am tired of seeing Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman in every series.  This is why I was glad seeing those three in limited appearances on 52.  I was surprised that the Green Lantern Corps books were so good even with another writer taking over for the last two chapters.

I would buy this event as a $20 set.  I probably would not buy this in hardcover format.  Like Annihilation Conquest, I am not greatly enamored at buying the second part of a trilogy before the third installment comes out.  Well at least, I am caught up on Green Lantern and the third part Blackest Night is being released right now.

“We will hope.”
