It's been a good weekend

This weekend was a COLLEGE weekend. These kinds of weekends don't happen often, but when they do...they are fabulous (or superb or golden...if you are Casi Clark). These weekends consist of good company and events.

Friday night was a mark of how cool the AOII Senior class of 2005 truly is. As it was Red Rose, we had to make the night awesome. We walked downtown dinner at Cheapside, where laughs were had, spirits were drank, and good food was eaten (in my case, that was kinda eaten... but that's a different story). We then had a drink at the Bigg Blue Martini, which is a little higher class bar than McCarthy's, which made unique. Then a picture in Triangle Park followed, and we danced the night away. Tears were shed as one of the last and possibly the biggest hoorah celebrations for the Senior class commenced.

Saturday was marked by fabulous weather and a trip to the drive-in in Winchester with four girls that I love dearly. We snuck pizza, chips, and drinks into the place and got to watch some movies in our pajamas. It was low key and that's what made it so cool. Minus the fact that it got COLD sitting out on the ground, it was uber-fun.

I believe that sharing a meal, especially a meal that was prepared together is one of the best times people can share. Tonight, the girls decided to cook our very own dinner in the Commons. Penne, sauce, salad, garlic bread, and cake. It was magnific! It reminded me of being at home and helping Mom cook as Daddy grills outside and Erin sets the table. I feel like those who had dinner tonight are a blended family, which is good to have to substitute briefly from those I miss at home.

Hopefully May Term will be full of similiar adventures and good company.
