A truly great 45th birthday...
...is currently in progress!
But before my girls and I settle in to watch the final installment of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy at the astonishingly late hour of ~11:30pm, I wanted to jump online briefly to share the good mood of the moment.
For those who wondered, my day has included getting some really nifty gifts not only from my kids but also some from my bro plus a few more from a couple of really terrific friends. I've got a sneaking suspicion that there may be more awaiting me in cyber-space, but I won't get a chance to seek them out until tomorrow since the movie will last quite awhile. That doesn't mean I will love them any less than I will tonight, it's just that we haven't had a relaxing family movie night in quite a while and I don't want to miss that.
Considering how awful last year's birthday was due to the absence of my children, sharing this news is even more gratifying to me than it might've been otherwise. Thanks for letting me pass along a portion of my delight and I'll be back in touch as soon as things settle down here again.
