Gross Storytelling 1

Happy New Years, all.
I'm hunkering down trying to find the right mix of stories about vomit, mucus, and farts for a family audience.

Tuesday I'm telling stories at the Lawrence Hall of Science in conjunction with their Grossology exhibit. Since the exhibit is about the impolite functions of the human body, I pitched a show full of stories about the same, and they accepted.

Although I can't understand how the press listings interpreted the description of my show, since the papers now read "traditional fairy tales with a twist." Except I'm not telling any stories that I've twisted. I'm telling stories that don't normally get told, because of their subject matter.

Trying to fix my set list:

Mucus Boy (Canadian, First Nations)
The Vomiting Contest (Tibet)
Pooplet (Palestinian Arab)
The Rich Brother and the Poor Brother (fart story, Palestinian Arab)
The Three Goslings and the Big Bad Wolf (fart story, Italy)

That's probably a 30 minute set. Need to tell them all together, and find out.
