I dropped M- at work on my way to choir practice.  He was eager to go and practically leapt out of the car.

R- picked him up after *his* choir practice, and spoke to his store manager.  The manager said M- was an excellent worker, and particularly praised how well he got along with other employees and especially with customers.

M- got home from work just now and was grinning all over his face, very pleased with himself.   It was a half-shift, 5 to 9.  He was able to tell me what he did, in order.

Whew!!

M- did fine on his tryout, and will start work Monday!!!

I am suffering from major Mother-blurry-screen virus!

Well, I can't hold off until the final word on this.  After 9 frustrating months, M-'s social worker and various bureaucracies came up with a job possibility for him, and yesterday he had his first interview with the manager of a pizza parlor (part of a chain)  for a job as busboy.  Tonight he goes in for an hour and a half, to see if he can handle ( Read more... )
