The other new blog

Before risking my books to blogging software I'd never used, I practiced with something I knew I wanted to do, but that wasn't as public.  Yet.

I don't know if you are aware of it, but I know there are tools in Wordpress that will let you cross-post from there to LJ. It would save typing duplicate or near-duplicate entries. I don't have a Wordpress blog, but I know several people who do and use the cross-posting feature/tool. You probably do, too.

Hmmm...I need to find that tool. I'm still very much an WordPress novice and so far--if I want to say the same thing on two blogs--just copy and paste. But it would be handy.

Tobias Buckell and John Scalzi both do the cross-posting thing from their WordPress blogs. I'm sure if you wrote to either of them, they would be willing to explain how to do it.

You might want to ask about an RSS or atom feed, too, so people can follow the new blogs from GoogleReader or some other aggregator instead of LJ.

Thanks for the info. I'm presently juggling four or five things, so these will have to wait for a bit--be patient, OK?

I'm getting worried - do you have time to eat and sleep?

Sort of. The eating's easy...it's not healthy stuff, but it's there.

The sleeping...well...I'm working on it. I think the big push on this is over and it's back to work on the book(s) with this as filler. And I'm not going to push for more than 2000 words/day for awhile. Ideally, a LONG while.
