pilot: where are you? seriously, where are you?
...
pilot: cuz i need you right now... and i am sure you've been waiting to hear that from me, but i need you, cuz right now, there's nobody else.
...
pilot: fine then... if that's the way it will be, i will resume this on my own.
grimm had thought he had done the right thing, but months had passes since he had accepted the journey alone, and he was more lost than ever. a time had come where he believed he could not travel further, and he sat in the deep woods and reflected upon his confusing past. there is no telling how much time went by while grimm phased out from his tangible environment, but he was awoken by the sound of something almost familiar.
cosmo: this one... this one here... he knows where we need to go.
subdue: and this you are sure of? the trail for echo didn't raise the crops we had hoped...
cosmo: no, this one has been there, this one has lived there, and his lifepath takes him there as well.
flesh: he does not appear to be in the shape to travel any distance in this state.
cosmo: no, physically, perhaps he should not, his time may be done here... but we cannot let this one go. his memories are strong, very much so, and by being in his mere presence i am aware of a very rich and turbulent history. he's done many many things, things we've never even imagined, and he has experienced more than we have together.
subdue: his age isn't so great, what could he possibly have accomplished?
cosmo: this one... so much. he was central in the undoing facing all we've known from our perspectives.
subdue: we lost our kingdoms over this arrogant youth, you tell me? (a complex aggression raised from subdue, faltering her otherwise unwavering demeanor)
cosmo: no. not quite. but he was there, and he knows of this.
flesh: we know so little of where you are taking us cosmo, and we follow you on something hardly more than faith, this is becoming no less convoluted, how can we keep going?
cosmo: this one means something. he was there, where we need to go, where we will have to be when this all will happen. we need his knowledge.
flesh: cosmo, if all you have said was true, then for you, is this not completely unsafe?
cosmo: it's a gamble. i will have to take it though. the two of you know the risks, and this one may be especially difficult on me, but if we're to get where we need to be in time, this may be nothing left of essential.
subdue: well then do it, and we're ready, just come back.
that's when cosmo absorbed the memories of the mysterious man in the woods into himself. the only difference this time was that cosmo felt a portion of his own memories lost as well as many of those taken from others. the experiences of the life he absorbed were so vivid and intense he simply could not contain everything he already had.
it was two days before cosmo would reawaken.
nothing seemed to change to the environment in his absence, but he felt himself to be a different man.
in the fallen kingdoms brood looked to the grey skies and noticed the new sun had become much larger. again to this, he smiled. it became a bit of a fixation for him.
