I should go out on Saturday nights.  Instead, I go home after work and give myself a manicure.  It's a French manicure, but black with metallic black at the tips.  Tres gothy.  (Last week was black with metallic red.)

I am frustrated that our household cannot donate more than a few paltry dollars here or there to help with recovery from Katrina, and saddened to know that there will still be a need when we can do more (and we will). Of course the haikus are applicable to my life right now. They're from my recent life, after all. Still, it's kind of like I Ching or tarot - you interpret according to your current mental state, and maybe something can ping something else, setting off a chain reaction that leads to a new perspective. Or maybe not.
