I came across a large protest march on Martin Luther King, Jr. Way. The Who was on the radio and the smell of barbeque was in the air. A game of baseball was played in the backyard. The sidewalks were crowded with kids learning to ride their bikes, and their parents cheering them on. She licked the frosting off the cupcake, but never got around to eating the rest of it. We walked to the corner to buy the Sunday Times as the sun was beginning it's descent, dressed as if we were in spring training. The cats lounge about on the porch, only moving when they deem it necessary to find more sun. I've decided to put the hammock back up. My daily wardrobe contains at least flip-flops, shorts, or tank tops. I've changed to my summer lotions when moisturizing.
Is it possible that the sounds of the trains and the ships in the harbour that float up to my window sound different on a summer night?
