"Faith is risking what is for what is YET TO BE. It is taking small steps knowing they LEAD to bigger ones. Faith is HOLDING ON when you want to let go. It is LETTING GO when you want to hold on. Faith is HEARING GOD'S YES when everything else says no. It is seeing the LIGHT in darkness, the PRESENCE of GOD in ALL." ~ Ellen M. Cuomo
This is pretty much me right now. I wanna let go of some things that I'm being called to hold on to. I wanna hold on to some things that are becoming impossible to.
And it's hard.
But I'm also seeing the presence of God in ALL of it. And that, friends, is amazing. Awesome. I wish there were words.
I often ask the question "What does that LOOK like?" What does "being joyful always" (1 Thess 5:16) LOOK like? What does faith LOOK like? How can I live it out?
I think Cuomo's quote is just that. And I needed to hear it today. Read it and meditate on it. And it was in a comment my friend Nanette posted long long ago (April...off topic, it's not all that long ago...but it seems like God's brought me through so much more since then...).
Absolutely amazing how God works like that.
