home for summer

I got back home on Monday. I left campus later than intended because mom did not arrive until the time I was suppose to check out at, but I had just about everything packed and my car all loaded, so it did not take too long to finish. It took twice as long to get home because my mom wanted to stop in Canton to visit with Josh, Sam, and the kids. I would have figured she would have called there first, so that we had driven to Canton to find out they were not home. There is no quick route home from there, so it took longer, but was shorter miles than the way mom considered going.

I am still waiting on one more grade, but it looks like my grades are going to come out a little better than I had thought and will make the Dean's List again (YAY!!). I have not really done any unpacking because I have been spending my time with the family. Nicholas is so fun! Breanna is great too but by late afternoon she gets bratty and cranky. I hope the idea does not come up that since I am not working means I can babysit all of the time. I would rather be working and making money. I am going to enjoy being around them more, but so far it has been all the time and I don't want it like this all summer, I just need some time.

Last night I got my birthday card from my Grandma Gerlach and it had a whole whopping five dollars in it. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but she was better off just forgetting my birthday like she did last year.

Today I went out to the farm to start up my weekly visits again. I gave Skeeter some bones and the piglets another bowling ball, so that the eight of them do not have to share just one. Grandma and I went for a walk all the way out to the boonies before going to my cousins softball double-header. Lapeer East split the match with Carmen-Ainsworth.

Although the family stuff is going good I can foresee this summer being kinda difficult for me.
