good times
The yesterday and today have been quite relaxing and fun.
Yesterday - After making several stops for supplies, Jenny, Amy, Joanna, and I did some tye-dying. It was a lot of fun! Jen bought some soccer socks to dye purple and gold for guys; one pair just purple for herself. Jen and Amy both bought tank tops to tye-dye purple. Joanna and I did t-shirts. I had bought a 3 pack of shirts figuring the guys might want the extras, it only cost me $2 a shirt. All of the items turned out really nice and it was quite interesting to try to figure out how to dye socks with a swirl pattern. The tent that is just outside our house for unwanted furniture during move-out, we found good use for because we were hanging the items to dry on the rope, and while I was finishing the last shirt it started to sprinkle, so we just moved under the tent.
Today - This afternoon we had arranged to have us four girls for next year get together to hang out before next year. Jenny and I got the idea to have a picnic lunch in the park, on the corner of Ellsworth and Platt roads. On the way to the park we went to Meijer because they have fried chicken on sale, to go with the potato salad I had left over from Easter. It was a very nice park and very pretty. It is a great park to go to for walks because you can get lost wondering on all the trails. We did not get lost, but did not realize how far we had gotten. It was such a lovely day for a walk in the park too. I think we made a good decision about going to the park because it beat being indoors and walking around the park gave us a good chance to talk. Jen and I got back from the park and shortly after we went with Marc and Ryan to do Round 3 of putt-putting we started in the fall. As much as I love putt-putting, I hate that I am not very good because I have the tendency to swing the putter too hard. With all three rounds accumulated I think I came in third place. Once again we got back just in time because it started to rain soon after we got back.
Tomorrow - I get to start studying for finals and finish a scholarship application. Tomorrow evening is the Intramural Bowling finals and we are competing for first place again. I hope we do excellent tomorrow night; maybe I will make time to go practice tomorrow as well.
Well, I just realize I have been here for about two hours, when I was only planning on like an hour, and I have not eaten dinner yet.
