I was thinking about putting the 4x4s on ebay sometime. Is there something you would like to have? I would be happy to trade for one of your sketches. :)
I like to apply the wax with very, very, thin brushstrokes and use it as an adhesive and top layer. It became less frustrating after I bought a skillet that has a built in thermometer. It usually needs to be around 140F before it is hot enough.
omfg! Seriously? That would be awesome. I love the woman with the fan and the mask and also the woman with the mask and the man beside her.
Which of my sketches are you interested in? Some of them have been sold, but I can always recreate something you like. Or even do a custom piece for you.
The one with the unmasked man? lmk and they are both yours!
How would you feel about doing a Billie Holiday sketch from one of the photos you recently posted? It's not how I usually think of her and they have been on my mind for days.
Oh, you can send me your address here: donia at eleven29 dot com Yay!
Thank you! I have some wax for you. I was waiting to get something else finished but I'm going to go ahead and mail you some things since I'm moving at the speed of a sloth. :)
I'm so glad you are getting some art time. I know it's been rough lately. Miss D, anything you do will be stunning. I have no doubts about that.
wah!! I just wrote this long comment and it went away. But basically I said these were wonderful and very moody. Love them all. BUT really, really love the old house. Brings up memories of my childhood growing up in an old farmhouse in MD and "home". It made my day seeing your art on my friend's page today!
I'm so happy you like the house. I'm going to photograph it when I have more natural light. Believe it or not, this started out mostly white with sepia and green. It is dark for me but I think it works. The colors certainly fit the mood. Yes, this was made with a lot of "home" in mind. ;)
It feels good to be doing something again. I was starting to become worried...

How do you use the wax? I never seem to be able to get it hot enough to use properly...
