I finished seven mixed media pieces yesterday. It's overcast so these aren't the best pics - but I had to share. :)
The house measures 8x10 and has gone through a series of transformations. I worked the photo in three times before it felt right. It's a moody piece and was inspired by my recent visit to the Fort Sanders neighborhood (I know I've mentioned that place several times before ;). I found the photograph in a local antique store last summer and it's fairly representative of the disappearing architecture in that area. After finishing this piece, I've decided to work with my collection of Ft. Sanders images. It's been a couple of years since I've looked at them so it should be interesting.
The rest are 4x4s. The pierrot is a wax collage and the others consist of various vintage images, papers, text transfers, and acrylic. I worked on the four masked ones simultaneously and love how they turned out.
