So, what did I do today?

I stayed late at work, which is nice, because I missed some time this week.

I listened to the Brewers finish off the sweep of my boys in Milwaukee. Fuck.

I applied for three jobs. Maybe I'll apply for a fourth soon. Wish me luck.

I went to Come As You Are and picked out a treat for myself. We've made friends already.

On the way there, riding the 55 up the Main, I was reminded about why I sometimes hate spending time on the Plateau. Especially when the temperature's as pleasant as it is today. The Main isn't good for insecure people. Especially in the summer. All kinds of toned, exposed skin. All kinds of people throwing around too much money. All kinds of hott cars making the rounds. The rich and the beautiful, yup. Funny how a street that's so run down in places is the main drag for these people.

At least I don't feel inadequate about my intelligence on St-Laurent. :p

I have a love/hate relationship with the neighbourhood. It's a nice place to visit, once in a while, but I'm glad I don't live there. I've said it a million times, and I'll say it again: I'll take the just-out-of-bed, messy hair, sweatpant-ed, walk down my street that Verdun affords me, over the three-hours-in-the-washroom look that I'd need if I lived on the Plateau.

Anyway, when I got to the store, I was greeted - kiyomisan and mishubaboolz - by Phil's long-lost female twin. No joke. This woman absolutely looks like a female version of Phil. At the same time, I felt like I knew her from somewhere. Maybe from the Link or something else at Concordia. Someone called her "Morgan". That doesn't sound familiar, though.

I should have looked around more, rather than just getting what I wanted, and leaving. I like looking around there, despite the sparseness of the place.

sex, expos
