Exactly how many beer samples will it take to get you drunk?! :)

Probably a lot. The beer fest really isn't the place to go drinking to get drunk. ;)

But it's really not that hard to convince me to get drunk.

Have you ever been to the beer fest?

Once, it was still in the Old Port at the time. We got there late and the lady at the booth said "The Beerfest is closed.. not only for tonight, but for an entire year."

I was quite spooked by this and decided to never go back.

I see. That's bizarre.

Drinking there can be a pricey proposition. You can pay $5 for not very much beer, depending on your selections.

Yeah. That kinda defeats the purpose of going to the thing, though.

Well you CAN get pretty drunk if you stick to the cheapy tents from Molson and Labbatt... but... then I don't get the point of going to the Beer Fest with all those other choices...

Also... if you go the complete opposite way and seek out all the barleywines and strong ales. :) But THAT can get pricey

Yeah, if I wanna drink cheap lousy beer there are a hundred places in town I'll go before the festival!

While I do tend to agree with you. ( I *love* good beer ;) ), many also see the festival as a huge social gathering and will drink cheap-o beer, or not beer at all ( I remember the year when they had Bootlegger and a Martini stand ). Meh. More for me ;)
