Stupidly, I just posted something meant for a community, here. But all your answers are probably just as relevant, come to think of it. It's something I've wondered about since I started having romantic feelings for anyone, ever. It's something everyone with crush-like feelings ever can probably relate to.
If someone had a crush on you and decided to act on it, how you would want them to do it? What do you find creepy? What do you find endearing? I'm just curious. What're some of your more interesting experiences in this regard?

I've never done much picking up nor have I been picked up much. The only relevant anecdote I recall - and it's not much of one - was one time when I was standing with my cousins in a parking lot in Sudbury. We'd just seen a movie, and we were waiting for their folks (my aunt and uncle) to come to drive us home. We were standing in one of those little shelters for grocery carts. There was a little cluster of girls standing by the entrance to the mall about half a football field away.
My cousins and I were about 15 or 16 - the girls were probably about the same age. One of them walked over to us, and up to me.
"My friend thinks you're cute and wants to know if you want to go out sometime."
I politely, truthfully told her that I was from Ottawa, and would be leaving town shortly.
I guess that was an okay way of going about it, though I probably would've rathered that the actual girl who was asking me had just come right over.
