Ha! I have that feeling (that I can very cruelly form the words for) everytime I see someone that's BMW wearing a bikini/midrift baring shit/something that doesn't fit after I spent too much time in the mirror fretting over lovely lady lumps that aren't in the back or the front.
Yesterday on the bus I had one of these moments. This chick (lets call her Boriqua Belly) had on the traditional a little too tight boot cut jeans and a cut off shirt that made it perfectly clear that she is enjoying the 'gifts of motherhood'.

I know that sounds weird---but I'm just thinking of how black American culture gets whitewashed on top of how other poc cultures get exoticized over African cultures. Well, I'm thinking of Disney animation too as I type this...

That's EXACTLY how I felt. I was all "damn, I can't enjoy shit now!!"

Reminds me of that line from Hotel Rwanda "You're not even a nigger, you're an African." *smh*
"I know that sounds weird"
Nah, I think I understand. It was once (not to say that it still isn't, but you know) demonized and is now "appreciated" enough to be used for capitalistic commercial purposes. It IS weird.
