Thinking about Dani's entry and this ep of Girlfriends I saw a while back... I had a VERY strong reaction to that episode. The girls were out, wind up getting in some big group fight outside the club and Joan just... stood there. To me this is huge. How do you NOT have your friends' backs?? I don't care who you work for blah blah blah. Something ( Read more... )

alot of my friends are
1. stupid and deserve the ass-whooping they got themselves into
2. martial artist that love fighting people

that being said if someone was starting shit with them then yeah i'd be down to fuck said person up, but if my friends are picking fights i am not getting into that.

i haven't gotten into a fight in a very long time. people don't want to fight me, they usually just don't talk to me. if i did get into a fight (just me and someone else) then i don't want any help. if i am about to get jumped then yeah i want my friends involved.

I don't get into fights. It's not my thing. I don't solve things with violance and if my friend has gotten themselves into a fight, then they can get themselves out of it. If they were jumped by more than one person, then maybe I'd consider helping out. For the most part, my friends see things like I do and so the fighting stuff never occurs. When it does, it's usually their fault.

If you got into a fight with more than one person and your friend(s) didn't help, would you remain friends with them?

That heavily depends on the particular friend(s) and situation. I forgive my best friends for just about anything.

Aawww. That sounds sweet. I just hope it doesn't result in you being a better friend to them than they are to you.

My maybes are because

I've been there done that a million times. I'm over the street fight thing lol

Depends on the friend and the issue, being as tho I have a life, job, baby, and reasons why i cannot be locked up.

If my friend was attacked, I'd def. try to help out, if it was some street brawl.... I'm not doing shit, I'm 24 and been in enough fights to know, 9/10 your just making an ass out of yourself...

And PLEASE dont let the people be drunk

"being as tho I have a life, job, baby, and reasons why i cannot be locked up."

That's very understandable.

"And PLEASE dont let the people be drunk"

Haha! I guess my assumptions are different. Me and my friends haven't been in any fights in many many many years. So I'm assuming someone must have seriously violated my friends or that they were just attacked. I wouldn't even hang with someone who would go out LOOKING for a fight or just acting up. At least I wouldn't hang out with them in a place where I know they are likely to act up.

I should've made that clear in the entry though.

Well, I'm from Detroit where skipping out on your friends is a big no-no. But it's a lot more dangerous to jump into fights than it used to be. A couple weeks ago there was fight at a high school in Detroit between some girls and one of the girl's mother ran up to the school and stabbed three kids. One of the kids she stabbed was trying to break the fight up...

I didn't pick maybe because I wouldn't be around someone that just randomly got into fights all the time. I know that if it comes down to a fight then there is a damn good reason for it... And what would I look like standing around while my people are getting their ass kicked? If one of us is going home with a black eye then we all better damn well be.

Steph you just took ALL the words out of my mouth. I don't hang with folks who are out acting up, so if they are fighting there must be a GOOD reason. And how the fuck am I gonna just stand there while they are getting beat up?!?
