Statistics and a Meme
I went through my ff.net and AO3 stats today, just out of morbid curiosity.
The most popular fics by hits... well, the stats surprised me a lot.
On AO3, the stats were as follows:
1) Five Attempts at Seduction in Gotham: This is one of the only Gotham!fics that I've ever written, and it's the only one that involves Batman, so it sort of makes sense that it's popular. The thing is, there's only het pairings in, so I've no idea why it's popular. You'd think people would hit the Dick/Jason or the Bart/Tim more?
2) My only Billy/Teddy fic: It's a popular pairing and all, but I didn't expect it to be the second-most-hit fic in my archive :| It's short, and I wrote it in all of 10 minutes in 2007 as a response to a prompt. To be fair, it's also pretty cute but... there's a lot of fic I'd think would get more attention.
3) CAPSLOCK EVERYWHERE: Alright, I completely agree with this fic being hit a lot. It's crack!capslock fic about Daredevil's manpain. ffff, I love capslock fic so much, you have no idea...
On ff.net, my top 3 fics were
1) The ff100 challenge for Speed: Ugh, I will finish it one day, I think, but not until I have time to re-read Tommy's canon. It's not that I've lost interest in him, it's that I can't come up with anymore new ideas revolving around him.
2) The 5 Things that I will never finish: I have no idea why this is so liked, except that it's a popularish character (I think? He was when I was in fandom, anyway). It's not my favourite fic from the character, though, or even for the fandom, but I guess I'm biased,. A lot of my TF!fic was my human!verse, which never got crossposted outside this journal XD
3) An old sappy JP/Bobby fic: Fffffff this one confused me the most! It is sappy and horrible and relatively bad writing and I would take it down out of embarrassment, except that my policy is to never remove fic. Still, most of my JP/Bobby fic is crap. I think this is popular only because the pairing itself is not quite popular enough to have a lot of fic, even though it's got some very solid fans.
Also, I am not linking it, because it sucked. A lot. Augh.
In conclusion: if I wanted more attention, I would probably want to start writing more Batfam, Young Avengers and Transformers fic. I won't, though, because I'm apparently doomed to be obsessed with characters that no one cares about ever uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu ;-;

And, since I actually wrote most of the panty raid fic, another crack story prompt call: Give me a prompt and a character and I will write you CAPSLOCK FIC.
