"You're asking me? I've never done this before so how should I know if they follow some kind of protocol. Oh well, let 'em cling to whatever semblance of order they've deluded themselves into believing they've got a grasp on, huh?" The mechanic grinned lazily. They were out here instead on the other side of the walls. That certainly factored into his good mood.

Graham drummed his fingers next to the window. It wasn't that he didn't respect the truck, but then Ironhide might not understand how the man's reasoning worked towards it. Clearly the truck was an intelligent individual and much more than just another pretty vehicle set to be dismantled by his skilled and anxious hands. That wasn't to say that Graham wouldn't like to dismantle the truck, given the chance, but then where would that get him? There was only one Autobot and once that was broken, he'd be left with scraps. No, no good. No good at all!

".....aaaah, it's always the waiting. Waiting is so boring, so tediously boring and that's all they ever make us do, really." He sighed, lifting his feet to set over the dashboard as he sank back heavily into the seat. "If it's not waiting to go on this trip it's waiting to actually do something on the trip- we're here though, right? Let's get a move on- let's go, let's go, let's go!"

Abruptly he sat up and moved to open the door and hop out, granted Ironhide would allow it.

Mikaela was excited about this too, she'd needed a distraction these days. People had moved into her building and she since she had roommates again she'd been hanging around Ironhide far to much than what was probably healthy.

She peered out the window, resting a chin on her hand as she watched. Graham and Ironhide were a bit of background chatter, her thoughts were pretty far out there at the moment. Or at least, she didn't look like she was paying attention.

"Does seem like there's a lot of waiting going on," she finally piped up, glancing over at Graham and lifting a brow at his feet on the dash. She sometimes wondered how Graham was even still alive. "Go where...?"

He only grunted in response to Graham, flicking his radio on for a moment to send a blast of static. If the mechanic wanted to be irritating, Ironhide could do so right back. He shifted his window up and down under Graham's tapping fingers, attempting to get him to knock that off.

Mikaela, however, was afforded more consideration. He'd belted her in, and did absolutely nothing to agitate her. No mention of getting home, no talk of the others... He didn't know what to do, besides that.

His door popped open, allowing Graham to slide out. His voice dropped, barely whispering, to avoid anyone overhearing. "Go salvaging," he told her. "Stay here if you want. In the driver's seat. I will follow him."

The engine revved, inviting her to "take the wheel".

"-Ah, take a breath of that fresh winter air! ...well, actually I don't know how fresh it is, but it's better than city air!" He spun around once on his heel, letting the wrench lead his momentum before he stopped to face the truck again.

"Hey, you guys coming or what?" Oh, that's how it was, Ironhide. No fair playing favorites! And after he brought all those scraps for you, ingrate!

Mikaela is very glad that Ironhide didn't mention going home or the others, she doesn't want to think about that right now. She's not terribly sure how fresh t hat air is either, and she shifts into the driver's seat and rests her hands on the wheel, peering after Graham.

"...Should I?" She was torn.

"Hmnf," he grunted. "Cannot detect anything harmful..." In the air, at least. But, then again, his sensors weren't made for that sort of thing. It was Ratchet's area of expertise... and the medic's absence was suddenly, sorely, felt. Cursing a few times in Cybertronian, he shoved the thought back into his databanks.

"Your choice," he told Mikaela. If she followed Graham, it would be harder for him to go with them. The last time he'd tried to use his holographic systems, he'd ended up in stasis. And he was eager to go.

But he wouldn't leave her. Not until she was more... herself.

Graham stood, waiting as patiently as he could manage, tapping his wrench over a shoulder before he went to tossing it up and down out of habit. He tilted his head at Mikaela, then stepped back over towards the driver's side of the car, resting his elbow against the door.

"Everything okay in here? The other guys look like they're moving out already- don't want to let them get all the good stuff, do we?"

((OOC: Where you guys wanna poke around? "Park" or heh- treatment plant? *eyebrow waggle*))

"...I'll go with him," she finally said, getting ready to slide out of the truck as she gives the dash an absent pat. She pushes the door open and hops out, landing next to Graham. She'd been waiting for this, so she might as well at least enjoy herself.

"Sorry yeah...everything's cool." She flashes a grin -- at least between these two, they were able to make her smile.

((Doesn't matter to me, my coin flip said treatment plant :3))

Oh what.

Were they honestly going to leave him behind like this? Did they honestly expect him just to sit here while they trundled off into a potential war zone?

The big engine revved. "Get back in so we can go," he grumbled, all but vibrating in place. "Not going to just leave me here. Hmnf!" If they ignored him, he was calling up his holographic driver and following.

((To the treatment plant!))
