Salvage Run, Autumn 1952

WHEN: October 3-5th
WHERE: OUTSIDE THE CITY WALL
FILTER: CLOSED
WHAT: There's a Salvage Run. You guys are required to go get stuff for the city while the rest of us pray you don't get ambushed!
NOTES: There will be a thread start for each section of the Run. You guys are free to pair up in twos and threes while 'salvaging,' exploring and gathering information. You're more than welcome to find all sorts of junk that's circa 1940's and will be useful to Veles. Plumbing fixtures, copper and the like is awesome. As well as mechanical parts. Most wooden things are rotted by now, but some preserved rooms may have cloth or furniture that may be useful. There will be one thread specifically for a zombie ambush (towards the end of the run) and then one thread for "Quarentine," where all people are required to stay at the hospital in a room for 24 hours in order to make certain you're not 'contageous.'

Up in the northern quadrant it had already begun to snow. The first flakes of the season drifted down serenely, blanketing the barren earth with virginal white. The ruins of a once thriving city rose up in the distance like a monolith of rubble. Sky scrapper like buildings still clung to the sky with their skeletal claws while the remains of their fallen kith huddled around their bases.
The salvage crew had been here before, and there were riches in this city that could be used by the last surviving city. Riches for them came in unrusted metals, motors, textiles, and sources of petrol or oil that had been previously undiscovered. It was the Salvage team's mission to collect these treasures and bring them back to the city safely.
