*Leon's got a hat on, mostly to cover his ears so he won't draw too much attention as he walks about the Victory Square. He's just practicing his Russian, having found it's easier to read and write but still tricky to speak*

[He'd been heading home from his first job when he walked through Victory Square and heard the telltale signs of someone practicing Russian. He's a bit out of practice himself, although the version of him that had been here before had been more comfortable with it, so he figures he'll practice, too. He speaks up, in Russian of course]

It's not an easy language.

*He blinks and glances over- it's easy to pick out someone that isn't a native speaker. Leon smiles a little, nodding*

No, it's not. I'm better at reading it, I think.

[A nod]

I grew up with it, but it's been years since I needed to use it. Around here, though, I guess it's useful.

*scowl- he gets enough nicknames from Blaine, he doesn't need it from her too*

It's Leon. But yeah, trying to get better at speaking it, anyway.

[It could be worse.]

You'd think if the Gate was gonna teach us languages, it would've picked the one people actually speak around here.
