That we as a country are srsly considering for VP a woman who ACTUALLY SAID "I don't know what a VP even does!" makes me so sad and infuriated I don't even know what to say. Ditto that the Repubs are actually GETTING AWAY with their bullshit stance of "she's a woman herself, so of course she can't hate women!" Uh, YES SHE CAN. And does. While it still might be up for debate whether or not someone can be passionately anti-choice, even in the cases of rape and incest, and still love women, if you think women SHOULD BE FORCED TO PAY FOR THEIR OWN RAPE KITS? You are clearly a misogynist.
Palin is so stupid that it's all become a joke -- and I admit, even for me, at times it feels so surreal, like this entire campaign has just been some kind of fucked up experiment, and in a few weeks everyone's just going to jump up and yell "J/K!" and everything will be fine. But really, really. While Palin's complete lack of political knowledge is at times hilarious, it's also frightening how close this evil, privileged dumbass is to holding the office of VP. AN OFFICE SHE HAS ADMITTED SHE DOESN'T KNOW THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF. An office that -- and I say this with no exaggeration -- I'm pretty sure I'm more qualified to hold. And I'm not qualified at all.
Please, America, don't let this happen. And please, ppl: if you haven't already, get acquainted with the candidates and their stances/voting records. And then go out and vote.
So many ppl in this country, in the world, get fucked over even when we have a decent, competent president. Can you imagine what it's going to be like with McPalin? I feel like if we can let that happen, all my worst fears about how horrible this country truly is will be proven true.
