The kids almost didn't want to leave Disneyland but there was no ifs and buts about it. So we took the red taxi from Lantau Island to Kowloon Island and headed to another hotel. Funny story there. We took 3 taxis again and told the 3 drivers that we needed them to take us to Regal Oriental on Sa Po Road. Apparently you had to say Kowloon City but I didn't know that. We said the hotel's name a few times and in the end I pulled out a print-out I had and showed it to them. They all said, "Ah! Reegaw Orwientaw Hotel".
If I wasn't so tired from the flight and the walking around in Disneyland I probably would have laughed. I admit it was funny but you had to be there to understand why I was almost furious. Anyway, moving on.
This is the bridge they call the Lantau Link.
Some of the sights going to Kowloon
A touch of Dubai in Hong Kong - that's DP World's HQ in Kowloon
This way to our hotel
We were all about ready to crash when we got to the hotel's reception
So we were glad to have gotten our room ready even though we were an hour early for check-in
And they couldn't resist doing this
But first things first, we had to stock up on basic supply so we headed out to the nearest supermarket to buy water, juices, etc
And of course we had to eat. Every time we went out we were eating!
McDonald's of course!
Patrick and Ronan got these toys in their Happy Meal bag
Patrick had to have this big lollipop
We went back to the hotel then and we all took a well-deserved nap. A couple of hours later some of us got up, got dressed and got ready to go to the Night Market on Temple Street. My brother-in-law and the kiddies stayed behind.
Let's see what bargains we can find here
All that shopping made us hungry. Again LOL!
I think Bernie had a seafood noodle thing or something
This mutt kept walking around with his leash in his mouth probably hoping a stranger would take him for a walk. He's too blurry coz he wouldn't stay still
The view outside our hotel room
We had twin beds and Patrick had the one all for himself
Our hotel floor was so quiet
We got up at 7am to get breakfast and get ready for the day tour
Isabelle was all prim and proper as always
Breakfast wasn't much but it was enough to fill our tummies
I swear there is an end to this holiday diary somewhere. LOL. I just don't want to put all the photos in one massive post. Still enjoying it?
