waiting for lightning to strike

Feb 16, 2006 16:06

when you think of something and you eventually do it with the hopes of getting the result you have envisioned but the turn-out wasn't at all like your vision, makes you stop abruptly with what you're doing...

sigh...such a sad thing to not have the result you wanted...or it could be that it really wasn't meant for you...i don't know...

PASSION really is of utmost importance in the things you do...without it...it'll never just work out...no matter what you do if the drive and the desire is not a 100%, then, it'll be useless to continue doing whatever it is you're doing...
then you ask yourself, what is my passion? ...and BAM! it hits you that you never really had the chance to fully know what your passion is...you remain clueless in your own desires...you get lost in your own world...
the next thing you do, you start to wander and look for a life that suits you...you're young and impulsive and do things that sooner or later, you'll be laughing your heart out because of such a mundane act...
life is funny that way...at that moment, you thought that it was just ok, then someone reminds you about such stupidity, then you become mute in utter disbelief that you did such a thing...1,2,3 seconds pass by and tears start falling down your cheeks as you choke and gasp for breath due to too much laughter...a few more seconds later, you start to decipher things that you've done in the past few months...you stare into space hoping to retrieve answers...minutes turn to hours then days and before you know it, you've stopped too long in living your life and reality bites...you're way behind in the game of life...
the moment you start realizing things, you already become crippled and you start having difficulty to get back into the game...you get depressed, you blunder and curse, you become bitter in life...and apathy becomes your best companion, you see life in a negative perspective, you feel rotten and of no worth...you blame the heavens for your misfortune...
you start living your life in the darkness, you become too absorbed in your pain and shortcomings..years without the light shining, you get another wake up call...you awaken from all the misery you've surrounded yourself with, you start aspiring for change...

slowly, you get up and walk out the door and start facing life once more, you embrace the gift of life and have a positive disposition.

you laugh and cry all at the same time, you dance as if in a trance as you start to enjoy life the way it should be enjoyed...you gain enough courage to get back into the game...the moment you start doing so, you get high and elated...you get overwhelmed, then BANG! you get confused once more...you bit off too much that you had difficulty in chewing and swallowing...you become naive and try everything as if its the first time you ever saw the world...

time pass by and you start getting involved in a thing you thought that would help you...you do your best and exert effort...you continue with that routine for a few more days...then suddenly, you tire of it...you again become clueless and disappointed...once more, you failed to achieve what you wanted to achieve...confusion hits you once more...and that question pops into your mind again, "what is my passion?"

after everything you've been through, you still can't answer that simple yet complex question...you have self doubts, you start pondering once more...

LIFE iS FUNNY THAT WAY...its a cycle...and it goes on and on till the time you can fully answer that question...

and you get tired of being in the same game for the nth time...you lost all hope, ecstacy and grief...you become numb...

you then live your life like a burrow...you become catatonic...you sit down, have your daily dose of caffeine, burn the tip of your fingers by smoking till the last puff...

you stare, and you wait...

you start to live away from reality and make a reality of your own...

you become detached with the material world..you transcend into a better place...

you experience all the things you want to experience...finally, you got what you wanted...you become happy...then once more, you get tired of being happy...you realize you want to spend some time with grief...

LIFE IS FUNNY THAT WAY...we do things, we set goals, we fail in reaching our goals, we set new goals, we get the result we wanted, we get sad and get bored, we start failing intentionally...

LIFE IS FUNNY THAT WAY...we never really get contented...we never really stop after an achievement, we desire for more, we want zest...we want to experience everything...

oh well, if that's how it is, then let the games begin...cuz sooner or later, the lightning will strike...this stupor will end...but LIFE will continue to be like that...

and now, as i end this piece, i stare for a moment into space, drink my coffee, finish my cigarette and wait for lightning to strike...
