So..I haven't posted on here for about 3 weeks now...heh.
Lots of crap has happened. I've been to China and back, which was AMAZING. I've got a few more photos of me standing unceremoniously infront of various world landmarks. Aaaaaannnnd..here they are!
Sorry...I just thought this was wicked. When do you EVER get to see a 20 ft tall and 15 ft wide soccer ball in the middle of a city...I say only then..and never anywhere else.
Me standing...sitting...leaning..whatever..in front of the Imperial Gardens at the Chengdu Imperial Palace. Ahh Chengdu...crazy cab drivers...digestive problems galore...crazy amazing food..good times.
Isn't that just the coolest thing ever? I wish I had an enormous clay army of thousands of lifelike soldiers armed to the teeth guarding my tomb for all eternity. Hell I wish I had a tomb to start off with..
In front of the Terra Cotta Warrior Pavilion in Xian. Xian was famous for it's crappy dirty city..cool City wall that will always live in the shadow to it's bigger cousin a few hundred miles north, and amazing clay army! (If some of you may remember..this was a pitstop on the Amazing Race. I can't remember which season...I don't follow it that much..)
Aaaaaaand the Big one: Ze great wall of China. The single most amazing feat of human engineering in the world, ever. This thing is visible from SPACE people..and I was on top of it. I couldn't really believe it. I felt humbled, and honoured to be standing upon this masterwork of the Chinese People.
Oh yeah, and we saw this huge black dude with an entourage of equally huge-looking chinese Police following his every move. Apparently, according to our tour guide, he was a Guyanan general who wanted some excercise during a diplomatic visit to Beijing...so he decided to run a few miles along the great wall..heh. Personally that's a very good fitness alternative, but man..some of those inclines are like...50%..that gets pretty steep..shutting up...
Well..that's the brunt of it. Tian'anmen Square pictures will follow shortly, and those are equally cool (In my oh-so-humble opinion). I'll be working now..(WHOOHOO Safeway Liquor) with Marlene! (for those of you who know her) and then it's off to Europe in a month or so, which will be splendiforously and spankorifagorically amazing. We still have to figure out some travel stuff, but it will be vunderbar, ja? JA I SAY...JA!!!
that is all,
DynamoRyan
and in homage to the tour group:
