I have been going to bed early lately. Well, early for me. Like between 11 & 12:30 every night for a while now. I think mostly this past week it was because John was visiting his family, so I had no one to stay up & watch Sopranos DVDs with. But I've still been going to bed pretty early since he came home, so maybe this is a new trend. At any rate, neither of us can sleep right now. We watched an episode of Sopranos & then acted like 5 year olds laughing & trying to steal each other's side of the bed from them. Then we both decided we had to go pee, but we didn't want to get up, but dammit, you shouldn't hold your pee! To make the trip to the bathroom more tolerable, we made a 2-person conga line. We went "dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-DUN!" & kicked our legs out & everything for the whole 15 feet trek. We are not normal, I know.

Monday night was fun if you don't factor in that the Oilers lost. John & I met Steve & Becky at Eddie George's 27 Grille to watch the game ("the game" being the 7th & final game of the Stanley Cup playoffs). We had a good time even though Carolina annhilated the Edmonton. I freaked out our waiter by ordering a watermelon martini followed by a pint of Strongbow. He put his hands up in front of his chest & made this you-are-an-insane-person face & said, "If that's really what you want..." When he finally brought me my pint, he commented that it was a "slight departure" from the martini. Hey, I know what I like. I then followed the pint of Strongbow with a second pint of Strongbow. I was definitely drunk & I definitely had my own little dance party in the bathroom stall to "B.O.B." by Outkast. I've never been drunk in a respectable eatery before. It was surprisingly different than being drunk at a bar.

That makes the second Monday in a row I've gotten plowed, only last week it was at 1:00 in the afternoon. I'll excuse it though because they were both for sporting events. It doesn't matter what day of the week it is or what time of the day it is that you are getting drunk if there is a major sporting event to attend or watch. Dammit.

I need an adventure this summer. With at least 2 other friends. And it has to involve driving a decent distance. Last summer I set a bunch of goals & I actually achieved most of them. I've got too many other things on my plate this summer to start setting goals, but I definitely know that I need a driving adventure with 2+ others.

I miss you, Michelley.
