Awe so cool!! Is that the end? There's no to be continued so I'm a bit confused. But I like that Dom decided to help there I figured he'd make a great mentor and concilor.

No, it's not the end. I've edited the chapter to say that I'll be posting more on Thursday. There's lots more to come . . . and then some. :)

Thank you.

Yes, both Billy and Dom have come a long way in a year, and there are definitely challenges ahead.

You're welcome for the chapters, and thank you for your kind words. I'm very pleased that you've been enjoying.

Yes, Dom - it's time for you to fly.

I'm glad to see him coming to this realization - that while he enjoys working with Billy in "Boyd's House of Books", it's not what he honestly WANTS to do with his life. Billy is right to encourage Dom to find something he enjoys - something that will give his life a sense of purpose, as books do for Billy.

I suspected he'd be coming back here, after the encounter with Eric. With his prior 'experience', Dom would make a great mentor. He's been down that road, so he can understand better than most what drives people to live that kind of life.

As for the photoshoot with Viggo, I'm a bit curious. From the description, it looks like you used a RL photoshoot Dom did some time back (suede_scripture's journal layout has an example). Is that what you used for inspiration, or did you just come up with something on your own? Either way, it was fantastic.

I had to go look at the lj layout you mentioned. I'm familiar with that photo shoot, and many others that Dom has done, but I can't say that I used a particular one for inspiration. The boy knows how to pose for some guh-worthy images, and I just went from there, trying in incorporate what Dom would've wanted to create for Billy.

As for Dom's future, I knew that he wouldn't be able to leave his past behind entirely. He's managed to survive, and like you said, he knows all too well the feelings of desperation that drives people to live that way. To be able to reach out to people in need would be good for all involved.

Thank you. :)

The times Dom remembers stuff from his past, like having to stand in the cold and rain while he was working the streets, always leaves me with such a desolate feeling. As good as things are, as good as they may be, I think he'll always have sensory memories where little things will trigger flashbacks. I'm glad Billy is pushing Dom to find something more to enrich his life, and I love where this ended off.

It hits me in the gut when he gets lost in memories. I think he's accepted that he'll completely leave that part of his life behind, but if he can do something positive with it . . . I like the end of the chapter, too. It feels hopeful to me.

Thank you. :)
