Mid-Vacation Update
Hey everyone, just got back from our first day at disneyland, and figured I'd note the things we've done so far.
FRIDAY
Drove for a really long time.
Met up with Jon and Andy in Long Beach.
Got the downtown tour and ate at some burger place.
Watched Andy get treated like a star for walking around downtown with a case of Pabst.
Kicked ass with Jon at SceneIt.
SATURDAY
Went to Legoland with Jon and Jessie. This includes looking at Lego hookers and watching birds terrorize miniature townsfolk.
Jon and I trying to find the best roller-coaster-snapshot poses. The "Uptown Girl" look is born.
SUNDAY
Go to Easter Mass with Jessie and her family.
Eat lunch at the country club with her sportscaster uncle.
Drive to Anaheim.
Check into our hotel.
MONDAY
Abso-frigging-lutely nothing. All day. It was glorious.
TUESDAY
MY SECRET TRIP DAY! I planned a trip out and kept the whole thing from Jessie this whole time. It included:
Meeting up with a family friend who is a rather talented musician at his house near Studio City in Hollywood.
Checking out his studio (It's where 'We Are The World' was recorded!)
Find out that Jessie recognizes one of his bandmates from a previous band he was in.
Go to Guitar Center and look at the Vintage Guitar room.
Get last minute tickets to see MUSE at the Forum.
Getting lost on the way home.
WEDNESDAY
First day at Disneyland. We hit like 16 or 17 things. Jungle Cruise is way better at night, and the diamond teacup spins the fastest.
THINGS TO LOOK FOREWARD TO:
More Disneyland (mostly Tomorrowland and Toontown), as well as the entirety of Disney California.
Possible shows to get guest-listed on thanks to that family friend.
The Long Beach Grand Prix on Saturday
Stopover at the studio again on Sunday to get pictures
