I decided to make a post for dear nadegata's 30th birthday cause 30th birthdays are supposed to be speshul cause it means you're approaching towards adulthood and taking responsibilities and achieving long-term goals in life and
PRESENTING
THAT THING SHO ALWAYS DOES WITH HIS HANDS IN PVS
No I didn't watch all of the PVs just to observe Sho and his hands what are you talking about
It started with two sticks. 18-19 year old Sho used to do rapping with a hell of a fast mouth and sticks in both of his hands. Sunrise Nippon by far is the only PV wherein there were two sticks in each hand. In the following PVs, we see that the sticks diminish to one. But before we proceed, I'd like to apologize for the lack of the legendary A.RA.SHI PV. For the life of me I cannot see a part where he did rap using two hands. It was always only his right hand doing the stick, and the main and only criterion for this post is that it should be a singing/rapping gesture using both hands that is excluded from the song's choreography. :))
See? Well I know this is just one picture but it's ALWAYS like this throughout. :(
Now it's one stick in each hand with adorable Jun and no Nino on the background. There's one thing which always bothers me in this PV...
...Jun mopping the floor with his shirt. Now we know that Jun mopping the floor with his legs in Monster wasn't the first. :D
A clearer version of sticks lol. So so ii koto nante nai. ♥
We see in Kimi no tame ni boku ga iru one of the earliest signs of both-hands-defining-the-length-of-we-don't-know-what-but-of-course-we're-all-perverted-so-we-know-what-it-is!Sho which we will see more in later PVs.
Oh the hair and our amusement xD. The most 90's western boyband-ish PV Arashi has ever made (I think), in Jidai we see again bothhands!Sho. By this time, the sticks Sho used to do with his fingers are now disappearing. Bothhands!Sho will dominate later PVs while fingersticks!Sho will appear once in a while.
OK I was wrong. This has got to be the most 90's western boyband-ish ever. I can't help but love the PV because of weird designs that look like Windows Media Player visualizations on Ohno's back. Ok back to Sho.
There it is. See, bothhands!Sho is not only for defining lengths, but also, it's for explaining, like Sho is trying to tell you something and you have to understand what it is, that he's trying to say to you. ♥
And back to fingersticks!Sho. You know what I mean? RAMEN. :DD
HE'S DOING IT. There's a shadow of his left hand on his shirt lol
Ok I'm pushing it. xD Hadashi no Mirai was all about being, well, barefoot, and of course singing in the shower. The closest I can get to Sho using his both hands is this. :D
Cool and wet rapper Sho. <3 I know it's hard to choose a favorite if you're an Arashi fan, but if life is at stake, I'd definitely choose this one as my most favorite Arashi PV. I love how both the song and PV are so groovy I can't help but to sing the Number 1 hero of new salvation part. It's so cheesy and I love it and ok no I gotta stop talking about myself. It's Sho's birthday not mine. :))

HE'S DOING IT. Another form of bothhands!Sho which I will introduce here is claspedhands!Sho. Ok I'm not sure if he really IS clasping his hands but anyway, I'll just introduce it here now. Claspedhands!Sho are very rare, and have only been spotted in Pikanchi Double, Love so sweet and Kaze no mukou e if I'm not mistaken.
Ok Sho, it's both hands but, that's neither defining lengths nor explaining something, that's just hiding your face.
Anyway...

Out of the many gestures Sho did in the PV, I decided to choose this one. Cause closing his eyes in a PV while rapping is rare.

It's good to know that there are things that just never change right? The only question now is when we will see fingersticks!Sho in a PV again? :D
Happy 30th birthday Sakurai Sho. Thank you Sho for, yes I admit it, being an inspiration to try to excel on my studies. It will always be inspirational and amazing that you have managed to finish your studies while doing your job as an idol. And until now, I don't know where you get the passion to do many things in life all at the same time. I wish you'd get married and have kids someday. Well that's my wish for all of the 5 guys but I think you Sho would be a good husband and better father, but not better than Aiba of course xD. I also wish for you to have steadily good health. I know I don't have to wish for you to achieve your goals because I know you already have a life plan. I wish for your health to coordinate with all the things you still aspire to learn and do. I'm way younger than you but I'll always be proud of you Sho. ♥ :)
