On saturday, I headed downtown with a couple of other photographers to just do some shooting of the skyline at dusk. We shot from the pedestrian bridge. It turns out that we picked quite a night, as there was a George Clinton concert at Riverfront Park, so we at least had some nice funk music in the background. I have finally had a chance to get some new pictures posted from MTAC. I still have some pictures from MTAC to get to which were not ones that I submitted to the con as official photographs, specifically some shots of the Black Rock Shooter group that a few of my friends did for the show. Last Saturday I drove down the trace and went to Jackson Falls, Fall Hollow Falls, a couple of overlooks, and the Meriwether Lewis grave site. It is still pretty early for shots from the overlooks as Spring hasn’t really sprung around that area yet, but I did get some nice shots from the bottom of the water falls. here are a couple that I have ( Read more... )

I made it out to most of both days of the faire this weekend, and I have to say that it was definitely the hottest weekend to date. The temperature topped 91 on Sunday, and there was little breeze to speak of either day. This past Saturday I was able to make it to the Nashville Roller Girls doubleheader bout. I had a great time as always. I had to shoot at high ISO due to the crappy light, but I didn’t have to use the flash, which I think helped the pictures in some respects.

I finally got around to posting pictures from the Music City Boolesque that I went to last weekend. I ended up not being able to take many due to the lighting and being so far back in the audience. Most of them are the costume contest and everyone going out for drinks afterward.

I had a blast at the Nashville Roller Girls bout. The crowd loved R2, especially when he was towing some of the girls around the track. This was their final bout of the season. I only made it to two bouts this year, but plan to try and make a majority of the bouts next season.

Tonight I am headed to the final bout of the year for the Nashville Roller Girls. Chris Lee is taking R2D2 to the bout tonight, so I am sure there will be some great photo opportunities. I am looking forward to the evening.
