What's up to all that still exist here on the LiveJournal community...DP has made his long awaited return to the Journal world and it has been a long time with a storied past to go along with it and not nearly enough time for me to wanna write it all or even remember it at this rate.
I can say one thing...I am still employed at Walmart, from when i was midway thru my life journey when i wrote this journal, i had got in and been building my reputation only one year strong and now it's February of 2009 and i am coming into my 4th year straight at Walmart and all the while, i'm happy about the job security sake, it's not the greatest job on the planet but hell, it is a job and with this economy we are living in right now, i'm very fortunate to have that much.
I still also have the same car, my 1993 Mercury Topaz. It's been thru hell and back and it's still chuggin, and so far this year, i have experienced my first car accident and my first speeding ticket in this car, def not the most pleasant of times but i'm standin strong and i have a clean record and no scratches or damage to me, but that's not so much to say for the car but i'm makin due day to day.
Relationships...that's another one that i've had quite the experience with, since 2006...i have had 3 legitimate relationships but one of which i am still with right now, and she is the one who has stolen my heart and thrown away the key...her name is Krystene Ann Falk...she is truely the best person that's ever stepped foot into my life...we've been together over 3 months now and we dated last year in June for 2 weeks but the relationship came to a halt abruptly due to personal issues in her life that were out of her control so it was a mutual breakup for that time but only some 6 months later, we found each other again...our hearts definitely grew fonder over that long absence and we are one with each other and thankfully, we are moving forward and doing it together.
We are in the process of saving money, to move into our own apartment by the 2nd week of May back in Canton, my old stomping grounds...and a story goes along with that too...after 22 years of my living in canton in the trailer park, myself and my family finally up and moved out back in January of 2008 and moved into our first House in Livonia, which we are renting out but it is very nice, it has a basement, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, it's very cozy and homely and it took awhile to adjust to because we were used to living in almost poverty with such a crappy trailer that gradually fell apart over the course of time, which was why we had to move due to it deteriorating so bad...we couldn't afford to fix them.
Another newsworthy item...i have created a Summer BBQ spectacular a few years ago, called DP's Annual OMGWTFBBQ and it takes place every year, in the summertime, in the window of June-August and it varies every year but it is a bonafide Reunion where all of my friends come together, and they bring their friends, we mix it up, we eat alot of good food and we catch up and just relax. And it takes place on sundays ever year because i base them off of planned WWE wrestling PPVs at a bar/grill in Canton called Baileys which is my home away from home, we always pull in very good size crowds and we light it up with our rowdy/raucus behavior since we are such passionate wrestling fans and we love to have a good time, it's what's most important and i love to be the center of attention.
I have also ballooned on my group of friends that i have in my life and that i hangout with, while there are some originals still around, i have brought in so many fresh new faces that have really made my life just that much more pleasant and happy and due to all of these people, that have made me into the inspirational, big-hearted person that i am today who is full of love and excitement for everyone to relish off of me.
What else...I can also mention that since the year 2006, i've really got around alot esp when it regards travelling, i've been to Philadelphia, i've been to Jersey, i've been to Chicago, Canada.. and lastly...Sunny ORLANDO FLORIDA! and mostly those trips revolved around wrestling, i went to PA/Jersey for wrestling, the company Chikara pro wrestling had their King Of Trios tournament and it was 3 days and myself and my good friend Nick went and it was a blast and i wanted to go this year but i don't have the money or the transportation...went to Chicago to watch the best wrestling out there today...RING OF HONOR WRESTLING...back in November with my girlfriend and a few of my good friends, it was a pay per view taping and it was a helluva time, 4 hour drive back n forth and we were up for almost 24 hours straight but i'd never take it back for anything....Canada was simply for my friends birthday and it wasn't one of my better experiences but it was nice to say i've been there...and lastly, Orlando Florida...last year with my friend Kevin, it was for WRESTLEMANIA 24, my 2nd consecutive wrestlemania i had been to and it was a helluva trip...at least over a week or so, i saw 2 ROH shows...Wrestlemania, TNA IMPACT live...and i went to Universal Studios/Disneyland and Sonic drive in for the first time...
I've also become somewhat of a smalltown celebrity thanks to wrestling..when i attended Wrestlemania 23 in Detroit, i appeared live on Television during the ppv in front of the 80,000 people packed into Ford Field...and i have video proof of it on my computer...i also appeared again live on a recap video from wrestlemania on the next months ppv Backlash...i also appeared in a short clip on Monday Nite Raw which was live in Grand Rapids michigan, i've been caught on many ROH dvds, mostly the ones that were in Detroit as well as the Chicago show i went to and the Chikara trip, i appeared on their internet webcast called the Podcast A Go-Go.
Recently, i took on a 2nd job in an effort to save more money towards moving out with Krystene as well as being able to help my friend Nick out because he bought the Plymouth location's Toarmina's Pizza and he is the store owner and he had hired his own crew of people to ensure his vision of success for the store due to the previous owner destroying the reputation and almost shutting it down and i was hired in as a Delivery Driver...which was an interesting experience, which i did for a couple weeks and it wasn't going too bad but overall, it wasn't really my cup of tea as i wasn't used to the stress of driving door to door and not being able to see addresses at night and having to count money and worrying about timing n everything else...the other day, Nick had to issue 3 temp layoffs due to his labor being so bad off that his store wasn't making enough money due to lower business and he couldn't afford to pay all of us and give us the hours he was promising so therefore, 3 of us had to go and i was one of them and it wasn't to be effective until next week but i had knew i didn't want to continue the job so it was a blessing in disguise and i gave my last shift which was today "thursday" to the other guy working there and i was off for today to start my permanence from being no longer employed at Toarminas and i'm happy to be done, as it was a nice experience but it wasn't something i was cut out for, but of course i did appreciate the chance.
Myself and my friends have a monday night ritual of going bowling, as it used to be Thursday nights but the venue has changed and so have the people, we used to bowl at Vision Lanes in Westland just down the street from my work but they changed their deals and we found a new place when my now girlfriend Krystene and i got back together and she had been going to this place in Redford called Mayflower Lanes which had better rates and was a constant every monday night, we started to shift ourselves out that way and it's been a great new hangout spot as we have injected all of our people into it and we enjoy the music, the atmosphere and the cosmic bowling most of all, it's a great thing to do and to look forward to every week and i'm glad that we keep the sport of bowling alive.
Sunday nights are always the recent past time of Karaoke, my girlfriend's friend Katie that she used to work at her previous job Panera Bread with, always goes up there because their friend Kenny is the DJ of it and it is alot of fun and a great way to get the new week started and let it all hang out, sing ur favorite songs and just either make a fool out of urself or just show ur true heart and soul up on stage and there's also dance blocks too which helps give everyone some exercise, well deserved for most too and i love it.
Here's a little tidbit, since my gf used to work at Panera bread...i never had it before and i used to come up there and eat every now n again and it's phenomenal, and even tho while pricey, i always got discounts from her which was somewhere around 30% off and it was well worth it, i always got the you pick two, which gives you a sandwich, soup n chips and a drink. and i always got full off it.
Sadly since she was released from there, i haven't been as much but i'd still be willing to spend full price to eat it cuz it's well worth the money for being some of the most fresh and natural food i've ever had.
This past year, i went on a frenzy and attended a helluva lot of concerts, mostly with my ex girlfriend at the time during the splurge of not givin a shit how much money i spent : I saw Cobra Starship, Metro Station, Saliva/Drowning Pool/Jet Black Stare, Saving Abel, Journey etc. For the most part, great experiences and seeing bands i really enjoyed up close n personal and i'll never forget it...oh yeah, forgot another one...Five Finger Death Punch.
I tried Chinese food for the first time last year and my first time around, i was def not a fan but i was steered in the right direction later in my next trip to a place called Kim's in Novi, had some of the best Almond Chicken i've ever tasted and i am STILL craving it to this day..Isaac and i have both said it, WE NEED CHINESE!
I lost a close friend last year to a car accident, her name was Angelica Goff but her friends knew her as Angel, i had got to know her thru myspace and mutual friends and we had talked for awhile online before the one day we decided to finally hang out and i was introduced to her good friend Nicky at the time and from that point on, we were like the 3 musketeers and no matter what, we were always going places together, out to eat, drivin around, whatever it was. We were all joined at the hip and i loved those girls to death, they were some of my best friends and due to them, it really gave me alot of confidence in myself in thinking i was worth their time esp being so pretty as they were and could've been hanging out with other people but they wanted to hang with me and for that, i'll always be grateful.
Thanks for the memories Angel...i'll never forget you.
I've covered a whole lot in this entry and i think that is all i can really come up with instead of incessant rambling for no reason so i'll leave everyone with this and i hope i get feedback as i will be posting this up on Facebook/Myspace to possibly bring in some new users to this community to read and comment on this freely.
Take Care.
