Monday, I start working for the Texas State Library as a consultant on their systems. Apparently, all of them. Not entirely sure what I'm walking into, but the pay will keep me out of the poor house while I wait on some of these other offers to firm up ( Read more... )

Well, I knew I wasn't going to really hear anything between Thanksgiving and New Year's just because the people who hire me are out on vacation -- I had some contract work during that time from the company that bought my old company's IP. Enough to keep the lights on and enjoy sushi from time to time, but nowhere near where I was previously as far as expendable income goes...

But yeah! Work!

I was starting to run out of things to do on a day-to-day basis.
