House/Whoniverse

While when thinking of Whoniverse Crossovers, I ordinarily would not consider a show like House, as something that could be crossed with anything Who related. The shows have very little in common, but several authors have come up with well done ways of crossing the two and making them interesting.

One I really love is this Torchwood/House

Hmm, right now I'm plotting the missing scene in my head. House suspects something strange is going on, the kid is utterly undiagnosable, and knows for certain that Jack and Owen are playing him. Because of all this, he decides to do some investigating of his own. Calls up the University where the kid was studying abroad, and figures out where he was since he can't send the Ducklings to do so. Perhaps he finds out about the Church, and it's connection to possible aliens.

He also goes to Google UK, types in the names of Owen Harper and Jack Harkness. He does more research to discover that Owen isn't currently associated with any hospital, but is associated with the shady Torchwood institute, connected to aliens, and other strange happenings around the area. While usually not one for stupid stories about conspiracy theories and alien abductions, House begins to suspect something shady and related to the UK govermnment. Since he doesn't know much about the UK, so for all he knows, they are still doing human experimentation.

He decides to confront Jack and Owen and pays a visit to the motel. He knocks on the door, Owen is sleeping, but Jack who I've heard doesn't sleep is still up. House confronts him with the issues, how he has done his research and knows who they are, and threatens to do some not so nice things, unless Jack cooporates. At first House doesn't belive the alien nonsense, but Jack coyly tells him to operate on the kids spine, where he will find a chip, undetectable on any scans. House sneaks the kid into an OR, gets the chip out, gives it to Jack, and says he never wants to see the two of them again. In addition when Jack insists they go to a bar, House orders the exact same glass of water Jack does, says something about the "bathroom," and watches as Jack attempts to pour the retcon in.

House comes back, cracks a joke about James Bond movies and then switches the glasses. Jack then decides to give up, and simply asks House not to say anything to anyone.
