(no subject)
Hey guys!
I've been meaning to post this for a while, just keep forgetting. I debuted this costume at London MCM Expo about a month ago - femme Jack Harkness! Not a lot of pictures have surfaced, sadly, but I do have four, at least.
That's me at the far left as Jack, my friend Rachel as a weeping angel (costume entirely made by herself), and my friend Alice as a clockwork android (also entirely made by herself). Davros dummy just chillin' in the background, as you do.
Double Jack all the way across the sky! Erm. I look MASSIVE in this, hahah. I'm 5'9" and was wearing 3" heels, so I was towering over a lot of people :P
Complete strangers that reined me in for a photo shoot. Itty bitty Ianto grabbed my arm and claimed "mine now!". She was rather adorable.
The coat was custom made for a friend of mine, which means the sleeves are too short for me (and there is no way for me to let them down, as there is no excess fabric inside the sleeves, alas), but she was selling it for dirt cheap, and I couldn't resist. She threw in the braces and the vortex manipulator (which is a not so great rubber one, but hey, it works) at the same time.
I did it all in the wrong order though. I'd spent all of Friday and Saturday as a cat (I'm the brown and white one in the bottom left corner), so being Jack Harkness on the Sunday... Not all that much fun, after romping around on the floor for two days. :P
