Series 3 Martha Breakdown Part Two

Jun 26, 2012 18:43

This post is a follow up to the Martha red jacket outfit breakdown post I made last year. All of the info in this post is a result of rose_thebadwolf awesome work with contacting Louise Page to get answers to many of our questions.

Since so many of these items are several years old, the best bet across the board would be to search Ebay.co.uk by either name brand and/or item description. Any EBay links I find will be posted to the sales community.

Page said Martha's signature reddish brown Victorian boots are Bertie brand.

Unfortunately, there is no brand name on her signature necklace and silver earrings. Page had the items designed by a jewelry maker from Bali that used to have a shop on Portobello Road, London. No one has been able to find this person since.

The black chiffon dress is Ted Baker and her plum suede shoes were from Hobbs.

The rust vest top with chiffon detail was from Jigsaw. There's no info on the black cardigan. The jeans were from 7 For All Mankind. Her shoes were probably long black wedge boots.

Blink Jacket

This jacket is unfortunately a one off from a brand called Naughty sold at a shop called The Arrogant Cat. The blue vest with lace trim is from Jigsaw and the black trousers were Topshop. The headband came from the makeup department, and the shoes are black wedge boots.

The brown cotton skirt was from Ted Baker. The brown mesh knit wraparound ballerina style cardigan was a one off from a boutique sale. The brand of the underneath black vest top is unknown. The tan leather long lace up boots were another pair from Bertie.

For Martha's jewelry, silver hoops are very easy to find. See this $20 sterling silver pair on Amazon as an example. I haven't found a red beaded necklace I've liked yet.

For the black headband from Lazarus Experiment and Blink, Cover Your Hair has something similar for $4.99. I would also check places like Sally's, Ulta, local beauty supply stores, and accessories stores such as Claires.

Summer is the best time to find cotton skirts. Here's one I found on Amazon for $25. Avoid designs with too much pleating/patterns.

Summer is a hit or miss as far as boots go, but here's a few alts I've found. It might be worth it to check clearance sections at the outlets or your shoe retailer of choice to find deep discounts. As fall styles come in, I'll be on the lookout for more alt options.:

Blink and 42 black wedge boots:
Blowfish from DSW $49
Madden Girl DSW $49 (not all sizes available, also comes in brown as an archery Blink boot substitute)

Blink Archery lace up boots:
Wanted DSW $34 (not all sizes available)

Signature brown lace up boots:
Zigi at DSW $49
Steve Madden DSW $59
