I was the only GirlNine at NYCC 2011, but at least I was recognized!
This dude made an astounding Ten, mostly because of the physical resemblance.
"Fighting" over Rose Tyler. It wasn't really fighting, because she offered me jelly babies afterward, and they were delicious.

Glad I found this place! I was at NYCC yesterday and serendipitously located the DW cosplayers meet-up. This was my first cosplay ever, so I decided to go with my favorite Doctor.
The costume itself came together by chance -- I was searching on Ebay for leather jackets, and a close-enough-to-be-believable replica showed up for $25. I distressed it a bit myself with nail polish remover and a pumice stone (lol). The v-neck thermal is from Amazon.com, the pants from H&M, and the boots I already owned are from Kelsi Dagger.
It was lovely meeting some of you and I believe I glimpsed some fellow SUNY Purchase students. Photos I snapped from the meet-up can be found on Flickr here. Crediting to Marisa Buxbaum would be nice but is by no means required. Take 'em and do what you wish! I would love to see more photos from the meet-up if you guys are willing to share.
