Hoop Skirt (or the like) help for Renaissance Dalek
Hello!
I am beginning the process of making myself a Dalek dress. Or, rather, a Dalek skirt and faux corset. Or, maybe just a Dalek skirt and a brown and yellow striped tank.
Specifically, I'm going to attempt a renaissance fair style, full length gold hoop skirt (or, faux hoop skirt). Because I may or may not be insane.
I'm quite a novice at this, so would anyone give me some pointers as to how to begin this project? Also, I'll be going to JoAnns fabric soon- what sort of thing should I be looking for? I know what color I want, but are there some sorts of material which would work better for this than others. Absolutely anything would be greatly appreciated.
