indiana stuff
ok, apparently you can't escape redneck people even if you leave the south. we are staying in the middle of nowhere indiana and, consequently, there are a lot of people that fit into that mold. i know that sounds overly judgmental and shallow, but you'd know what i meant if you were here....lots of dudes with mustaches and mullets wearing sleevless-motorcycle-paraphernalia shirts...lots of chicks with bad teeth that you can't tell their sex....that sort of thing. the only thing is, the rednecks here don't seem to be as polite as the ones in the south. maybe there's something to that whole southern hospitality thing. i never really noticed it until now. in an unrelated story, an ambulence passed our van on the way home this evening. there was someone in the back on a stretcher who was calmly talking on his cell phone. it didn't even look like anything was the matter. just talkin on the phone in the back of an ambulence, totally normal thing in the world- what? OH! and there are flies everywhere here. every resteraunt, every time, i'm not exaggerating, there have been three or four flies. it totally sucks. i'm having a great time experiencing new places, and this entry is very jaunty and makes no cohesive sense. the end
