Update. (Nothing interesting, you may skip.)

Just received notice that I passed that Qualifying Exam I took last May. And end of November, three days of the Written Examination. If I pass that, there'll be another stage, which is the Interview...which, as these things go, will probably be middle of next year.

Well, nobody said things should be easy, right? *looks at exam schedule and exam syllabus* Yeah. NOBODY.

AND! This exam only means one thing: I was smart enough to go to Taipei when I did. See, the first time I lost out on Taipei con tix, I was aiming for Shanghai. Then I had that shot at Taipei tickets, I was still wondering if I should get it OR still hold out for Shanghai. Then I just decided to go to Taipei. This exam would have ruined my schedule and I won't have been able to watch them. I'm still blessed.

BUT! This October 31 to November 2, my friend and I had initial plans to join a climb up another mountain. I have the itinerary in my hands. Nine-hour trek through impossible terrain. Some trails involved narrow ledges where only one foot can fit in, and I was like, OMG! I WANT TO TRY THAT!!!! (On one side would be the mountain, the other side would be death. If you fall, that is. BUT I WANT TO GO!!!

It was supposed to be a missionary thing. It is, actually. A climb by the International Climbing for Christ Society. (Which makes me feel a bit guilty, because I am basically just using them to climb a mountain. Lolz.) But we're supposed to help out in the medical mission when we reach the remote areas.

By the way, last year, November 1, I also went on a day-long climb to Mt. Pulag, the second highest mountain in my country. And I wanted to go for another climb this year.

But family asserted itself. It turns out that during All Saints' Day, my folks will be holding a special service for my two stillborn siblings. So yeah. I couldn't very well be going up a mountain during that, right??

Hopefully, there's another trek on November 15 to 16 (yes, same time as Arashi in Shanghai). Maybe I can still go up that time.

And on 21, Michael Learns to Rock will be having an open field concert at the Athletic Bowl and I already got the tix!!

BUT WAIT..

Just five minutes ago, my boss came to my table and told me that I will be going to Davao on the 4th week of November. YESSSS! YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But crap. HOLY CRAP. The trip to Davao will be on the 27th to 30. But the first day of the exam is on the 30th!!!!! What to do, what to do!!!

And November is here. You know what that means, right???

Ohno's birthday month. YAY!!!

Some peeps will be holding a bash on that day in Manila on November 22. I could go, if I could travel 6 hours from my city to Manila, AFTER WORK, then go back for another 6-hour trip. Then the next week, go back again to Manila for the exam. And then there's the Davao trip. Hoshit. I CAN'T.

So that means I'll just have to celebrate Ohno's bday my own way. Whee....I won't be lonely, right??? RIGHT?

Up late.

Tell the thing you're very similar to Arashi members, whether good or bad:

Aiba - Hmm. I can be curious. Too curious. Borne out of this, I can be reckless. Sometimes I do things without thinking, to disastrous (and often funny) results.

Jun - I'm impatient. I wouldn't say I'm a perfectionist, though, coz I am not. I am just of the belief that, 'if you're gonna do something, at least try your damnedest to do it RIGHT.

Nino - Stingy? Lolz. I trust that he is stingy about most things but when it comes to his games, he'd have no hesitation about spending money. Much like how I spend on Arashi. Plus. Sometimes I can wisecrack. And mercilessly tease people. SOMETIMES.

Ohno - Sometimes I prefer the quiet and to be alone. Which I am somehow used to, growing up a solo child and all. And I couldn't care less sometimes what others think. Really. It's my life. It's my party, and I'll die if I want to, sort of thing.

Sho - I like trying new things, even if I haven't tried them before. Sho's like, EEEEHH??? about most things, but he still goes on ahead and does them.

Choose among these things appeal to you most: don't think, just choose anything.

With the member in your mind, tell one thing you don't like and you like most about this member. hide his identity, it will be your secret forever.. I figured any old-time Arashi fan can easily guess the answer anyway but let your friends guess the answer in their comments.

My answers:

LIKE MOST:
Down-to-earth, no celeb complex, good-looking, but he doesn't seem to know it, ergo, does not think he is God's gift to women (although he is). More importantly: PURE TALENT.

DON'T LIKE:
Lack of self-awareness and importance. I wanna shake him sometimes and let it into his head just how special he is. (But wait, I think that's actually one of the things that made me like him....aaahhhh)

Lastly, why this LJ username? What's the history?

(For those who don't know) I think Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles protagonist (and antagonist, depending on how you look at it) Lestat de Lioncourt is one of the best literary figures of contemporary fiction. Called the BRAT PRINCE, also the 'damnedest creature alive'. The Vampire Lestat. Truncated it. D Vampyr Lestat. dvampyrlestat.

No history. I just like twisted characters. XDD

I tag.....all Arashi fans who reads this, and had not done this yet.

Now time for me to go back to sorting my brain out as to what to do and where to go. Aaargghhhh....
