But Nino is win, 100% I'll have to admit that I liked Arashi before Letters From Iwo Jima and that it was Oh-chan who pulled me in in the first place, and that it was Nino's snarktastic-ness that made me love him before his acting skills kicked in for me, but he is ALL-AROUND amazingness. I barely recognized him in Stand Up and Haikei, Chichiue-sama.
I CAN'T WAIT to watch this. Thank you!

Yeah, I guess Ryo is your 'when the right character comes' kind of actor, not as versatile as Nino.
But Ryo's so in character when he whines. Haha! He complains a lot in reality, so I was just okay when I see him. XDDD

You know, I keep saying that, too (and it's ingrained in my personality) but Arashi does things to me...hmm....
That's kind of why I like him better in Eito than NEWS.OMG! You so read my mind! I think Ryo is boring in NEWS. hahah! (*sorry NEWS fans. i like their songs*) I prefer seeing him in K8 because he gets to be...himself? He just seems to throw all caution to the wind and just HAS FUN ( ... )

Kinda skimmed your comments because I don't want to be spoiled much ^^; but when Erika Toda was announced, I was kind of meh (no doubt due to Hanadan) Feel bad about it now, because watching some interviews she seems really sweet! I love the whole dynamic between the three, how Nino is the true niichan who is able to make everyone feel at ease- and Ryo being so shy to the point I really believe he's extremely scared of Erika. XD
That seems like the recurring theme for the talks, how Ryo loves to go home early without talking to anyone, Hahh.

I had the same thing about Erika, too, but someone pointed me to her guesting at KAT-TUN and she's soooo much fun! Then the other promos where I get to watch her being interviewed, she seems like a lot of fun!

As for Yamapi....I'm ashamed to say I like his acting (and how he looks--SUE ME). I've enjoyed him in everything I've seen him in and I'm currently downloading Proposal Daisakusen. As for Jin, I've never seen him in anything..HOWEVER, I do wonder why he is always number 1 in the hot guy rankings. IMO, he's not that great looking. I may be Arashi biased however.

AH! I think I've just been scared into checking it out. I've heard lots about it...I wonder why I haven't watched it yet??? *checks drama wiki* Oh now I know why...it's about someone with an incurable disease. *heavy sigh* I remember reading about this drama around the time I finished watching Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake (Takeshi Kaneshiro, LOVE!!!). I was left so emotionally drained for WEEKS after I watched that drama that I couldn't handle the sadness I was sure to incur. But for you, I think I'll check it out in the near future.

His Akira was too precious for words...his flailing about and almost high on life demeanor was very good.

I haven't seen that drama though, Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake, I mean. I guess that makes us even. haha! Well, 1LOT, while it's sad, is somehow uplifting in a way. And I'm not a Sawajiri Erika fan, but that's about the only drama of hers that I liked her in.
Ok. I am gearing up for that Nino-flail post. I'm just waiting for the right RnK ep. Haha! (lame excuse! I actually need to still burst out of the rainbow bubble Ohno had tossed me into).
I am soooo looking forward to watching the Kurosagi movie. I hear there are subs out already? But if someone hardsubs them, I'd be really eternally happy. XDD

Good episode! I like the story.. adore the script Koichi wrote... hilarious! Who on their right mind would wear something like that??? and the bunny!?? XD I'm liking Erika's acting! Overall I like it! Good acting, good story, good looking guys (damn Nino what are you looking so hot!?) BUT I do need a little more Kaname Jun... I know it was only the first episode but still.. I just love how it was written. The flashbacks, the dialogues. It's so down-to-earth. As expected of THE Kudo Kankuro. Have you seen his other dramas?? Both Nagase Tomoya ones, esp. IKEBUKURO WEST GATE PARK and TIGER AND DRAGON (which has Okada in it, too. yay)

Ikebukuro also has YamaPi in it....but very very young....Just. Nagase is so damn good in any role he portrays. Well, except as a HIGH SCHOOL student in My Boss My Hero, but it was still funny nonetheless.
No! I haven't seen that drama yet! The only ones I've watched with Kaname in them are TATTA HITOTSU NO KOI and ASHITA NO KITA YOSHIO. That's about it. I ought to check more out. Hmmm.

he's acting again!! and not to put down YTM, but this is... RnK seems much better than that right now. This is where Nino can really show his stuff. I never realized how limiting it must have been for him, trying to portray a high school student when he was 24 years old. No matter how young he looks, it's better not to have that mismatch after all. ^^;; Thankfully, from the first episode of RnK, seems like this is going to be a role where he can really shine. and Nino's saying that learning magic is helping with his acting... Even though his acting has been simply amazing in the past, I think I can believe him.
btw. OMG. Nino. Bedhead. Apron. JUMPING FROM BALCONIES. In glasses. With that teeny tiny netbook computer, the likes of which I really wanted even before I watched this 1st episode, and now I need it even more. >and ooo, how did I not know you were Arashi-baited by ( ... )

I liked YTM because it was Nino. And Sho. And Tabe. But to be honest, I preferred Taiwan's version better, because they got into more detail. XDD Anyway! RnK!!!! So much Nino-win. This is where Nino is at its best, offbeat characters, not 'safe' ones (like in YTM). The Yamada Taro character was just tooooo bland for Nino, who can do soooo much more.
I keep shaking my head when he says something/anything about improving his acting because DUDE! HE'S ALREADY AMAZING ENOUGH AS IT IS! But anyway, perceptions, I guess.
Don't forget how he peeks with those lovely eyes behind glasses from the top of the notebook. Yay. I love how he seemingly changes from one character into another on RnK. The serious brother. The brooding avenger. then he goes silly. mad. angry. frustrated. scheming.
